The Seventh Most Influencial Person On Pinterest

According to Dailydot.com's Lauren Ray Creators Against Pinterest ranks #7 out of 10 most influencial persons on Pinterest.
...her protest shows just how new and unusual Pinterest’s platform is and how the site will have to overcome uncharted challenges if it wants to keep content creators happy.
Well hun it's never going to make me (or other content creators that exploit the distribution of their own work, a right granted under copyright law) happy unless the NOPIN tag becomes the default state, and that giving permissions to pin pictures is what requires action.

I hope to continue moving up the rank - especially now that even Google Images is emulating Pinterest's "pioneering" image copyright grab.

Nice mention, but like you,"it's never going to make me (or other content creators that exploit the distribution of their own work, a right granted under copyright law) happy unless the NOPIN tag becomes the default state, and that giving permissions to pin pictures is what requires action."

Congrats, this is quite an honor to be a protestor who makes a difference!

I found a drawing of mine, through an image search, that had been 'pinned', and I proceeded to 'locate' it to provide Pinterest with the 'exact location' of the infringing pin to fill out their DMCA form. I finally found the 'pin' 30 minutes later on a pin board that contained over 5000 pins. I had to scroll through all 5000 of them to find my pin. I can't believe that the 'pinner' gave two hoots about that pin anymore, but had pinned it when originally spotted, and then long ago forgot it. I don't care how 'popular' Pinterest seems to some, or to those that think 'unique visits' means something significant beyond possible $$ generation... my question would be, how 'social' is the site when once a pin is pinned it is forgotten? Or how 'social' is the site when I leave repeated email messages to request pinners remove images and I hear nothing from them? Is that'social'
or is that just'bandwagon'?
